South Brunswick Store Sells $1 Million Powerball Ticket

TRENTON – Although no one won the jackpot in Wednesday’s Powerball lottery drawing, a South Brunswick store sold a ticket worth $1 million.

The $1 million ticket was purchased at Super Stop & Shop #818. Two other New Jersey retailers sold tickets worth $10,000: Heights Pharmacy in Piscataway and 7-11 #32947 (S) in Toms River. In addition, 21,472 other New Jersey players took home $129,271 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to NJ Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, May 16 drawing were: 03, 07, 21, 28, and 43. The Red Power Ball number was 02.

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $100 million for the next drawing, to be held Saturday, May 19 at 11 p.m. Watch live drawings on the New Jersey Lottery’s website, NJLottery.net.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510, and the odds of claiming any prize are 1 in 31.85.
