METUCHEN — Edgar Middle School eighth grade student Dale Macauley was selected as a finalist in the seventeenth annual Wallenberg Honors Program.
Macauley was honored along with other finalists at a reception on May 15. This program was developed to honor outstanding young people whose behavior emulates that of Raoul Wallenberg, who is credited with saving thousands of lives in Hungary near the end of World War II.
In addition to her parents, Dale was joined at the reception by her school counselor Lisa Chango and Director of Curriculum Richard Cohen.
