New Providence Student Honored For Achievement In Broadcast Television

WATCHUNG – Mount Saint Mary Academy senior Sarah Mercanti of New Providence has been nominated for an MSG Varsity V Award in the category of On-Air Talent.

Mercanti is an anchor on Mount TV’s morning programming. The Academy’s television studio broadcasts daily news and announcements to the school community on closed circuit television.

The MSG Varsity network received over 2,300 entries for the V Awards from high schools across the tri-state area. The V Awards are sponsored by MSG Varsity and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The goal of the award program is to highlight student achievement in broadcast television and film production.

Mount Saint Mary Academy is a Catholic, independent school which provides a college preparatory education for young women in grades 9 through 12.
