RAHWAY — On Saturday, April 28, students from the Rahway High School Social Action Club, in collaboration with local Boy Scouts, members of the Rahway River Association and the Union County Department of Parks and Recreation, held the annual Earth Day Cleanup of Rahway River Park. Nineteen student volunteers spent their Saturday morning clearing debris from the area along the Rahway River. The Social Action Club, led by English teacher Elizabeth Graner Jotz, was recently recognized for its water resources and conservation efforts by the US Green Building Association and the Garden State Green Awards.
