RAHWAY — Each year Lindsey Lerner’s bilingual kindergarten class and Michelle Tavares’s first grade bilingual class from Franklin Elementary School in Rahway learn about Mexican culture and heritage through a Cinco de Mayo celebration. This year, the two classes gathered under a big tree outside of their school and cheered each other on to see who would “rompe la pinata!”
