LINDEN — Justyna Kepa received the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG) Outstanding High School Senior in German Award. Kepa is a student of Mary Turbett at Linden High School in Linden.

Kepa was selected for excellent academic achievement, demonstrated exceptional commitment to the study of German, and participation in extracurricular activities related to German.

“The AATG is proud to recognize students like Justyna for excellence in the classroom. We also acknowledge the outstanding work of German teacher Mary Turbett for providing quality language instruction to the students of LHS. The future is in great hands with students like Justyna Kepa,” said Keith Cothrun, executive director of the AATG.

Only one senior per school may be nominated for the award. As a recipient of the award Kepa was presented a medal and a certificate of achievement. Her name will be listed on the Outstanding Senior Honor Roll on the AATG website.

Justyna Kepa is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Kepa.
