CLARK–Students in Tara Filippini’s fourth grade class at Valley Road School in Clark recently had a different kind of student teacher in their classroom. The students dress and act as a famous New Jersey resident and teach the class a short lesson about the person’s life/career, then accompany their lesson with an activity of their choice. Emily Pereira (pictured, middle) dresses as actress Jane Krakowski and teaches the class about Krakowski’s life. With the help of Emily’s grandmother Maria Francisco, and mother Diane Pereira, the class broke into groups to perform short scenes from Krakowski’s movie The Flintstones. Each reader’s theater group was then given a trophy. (Photo courtesy of Clark Public Schools)
