Diocese Of Metuchen To Sponsor Panel Discussion On Religious Liberty

FLEMINGTON – St. Magdalen de Pazzi Parish will host an interactive panel discussion entitled, Religious Liberty: The Heart of America on Wednesday, May 2 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The program will be held in the parish center, 105 Mine Street.

Topics to be discussed are: Living the Gospel of Life as Faithful Citizens; Founding Principals and the Separation of Church and State; and, The Erosion of Religious Freedom and the Impact of the HHS Mandate.

Panel speakers include: Rev. Timothy Christy, pastor, St. Magdalen de Pazzi Parish; Patti Jannuzzi, J.D., director, Office of New Evangelization, Immaculate Conception Parish, Somerville; and Jennifer Ruggiero, director, Office of Respect for Life, Diocese of Metuchen.

Attendees will learn how they, as individuals or as groups, can take action to help protect and defend religious liberty for all Americans; they also will receive important resources in order to learn more about this important issue.
