Woman Assaulted In New Brunswick Tavern Restroom

NEW BRUNSWICK — Authorities are actively investigating an attack upon a woman who was assaulted in the women’s room at a tavern in the city on April 27, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Anthony A. Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, announced today.

The investigation began after the 25-year-old woman reported that she was at Harvest Moon, 392 George Street, when a man entered the restroom, pushed her against a wall, kissed her and exposed himself before fleeing at 12:30 a.m.

The suspect, who remains at large, was described as a white male, between the ages of 28 and 32, and approximately 6 feet tall and 175 pounds.

The suspect has a lean build, with short-cropped curly brown hair and thick black-framed glasses. He was wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans and a white shirt.
