Man Sought For Molesting 22-Year-Old Woman In New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK – Authorities are seeking a suspect in the attack of a 22-year-old woman who was accosted while she was walking home from work, Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce J. Kaplan and Anthony A. Caputo, director of the New Brunswick Police Department, announced today.

Police began an investigation after a resident called to report that the woman was walking on High Street in New Brunswick on April 27, at 10:30 p.m. when a man grabbed her from behind, pushed her to the ground and improperly touched her.

A neighbor heard the woman scream and chased the suspect toward Somerset Street, but lost sight of him near Somerset and Division streets.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned Hispanic male, in his mid- to late 40s with a wrinkled face and short, black hair. He is between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and was wearing a dark blue long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
