EDISON — The Edison Chamber of Commerce named the 2012 Outstanding people and businesses award recipients today. All ten will be honored on June 12 at the 13th Annual Awards Dinner at the Pines Manor.

Citizen of the Year for Community Spirit

Outstanding Organization/Economic Development Award

Entrepreneur of the Year
James Vivelo, Owner, Metuchen/Edison Taxi

Educator of the Year – Administrator
Dr. Richard O’Malley, Superintendent, Edison Schools District

Educator of the Year – Classroom
Mary Ellen Lechelt, Menlo Park School

Annamae Baerenbach Business Scholarship
Jessica Jansen, Liberal Arts with a Business option, Middlesex County College

Tickets for the 13th Annual Awards Dinner at the Pines Manor are $85 per person. The festivities will begin with an hour cocktail reception at 5:30 p.m. People are encouraged to purchase a Congratulatory and business ads in a commemorative journal for the event range from $150 to $2,000 in price.
