COLONIA — Middlesex County College will hold its 30th Golf Classic on Thursday, May 3 at Colonia Country Club. Organized by the MCC Foundation, Inc. as a fundraiser, the classic begins at 10 a.m. with lunch. The golf starts at noon.
“This is a great opportunity for golfers of all abilities to have a great time while supporting scholarship programs for students,” said Patrick Madama, vice president for advancement at Middlesex. “And for those who don’t golf, there’s the reception and dinner that follow.
“Each year, the Foundation sponsors events and seeks private donations to help the college fulfill its mission of accessible, affordable, quality education for Middlesex County residents,” he said. “By participating in this event, you contribute to student success.”
The golf classic is a shotgun start, scramble format, and includes contests on the golf course. Each participant receives a goodie bag of gifts and there is a silent auction at the reception and dinner.
“This is a great day for people who like to golf, as well as for people who want to have fun while helping our students,” Madama said.
The cost for an individual golfer is $295 or $1,180 per foursome. For more information, call 1-732-906-2564 or visit www.middlesexcc.edu/foundation.
