PERTH AMBOY — Hanem White and Jessenia Maldonado, fourth grade students from Perth Amboy Catholic School, were two of the 30 state finalists in the Verizon/Partnership for a Drug Free New Jersey 2011-2012 4th Grade Folder Competition, “Fun Things to Do Instead of Drugs”.
Over 8,000 art pieces were received and it was a great honor for the two Perth Amboy Catholic School Art students to be selected. The girls attended an Award Ceremony at the Verizon Building in Newark on April 17 and received a tour of the Newark Museum with their families and art teacher, Rose Lavin Pennyfeather.
