ELIZABETH — The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating the shooting of a 20-year-old Elizabeth man who was killed last night, Union County First Assistant Prosecutor Albert Cernadas, Jr. said.
Dennis L. Foster Jr. was shot around 9 p.m. Thursday at 901 Flora Street in Elizabeth. He was pronounced dead at the scene. At this point no arrests have been made and the Task Force continues to collect and examine evidence, authorities said.
Officials are asking anyone with information about the case to contact Union County Crimestoppers at 1-908-654-TIPS or www.uctip.org. All tips are kept anonymous and information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the death of Dennis Foster are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000.
