Powerball Jackpot Grows To $131 Million

TRENTON – There were no winners for the Powerball jackpot for the drawing held on Saturday, April 14 . The jackpot for the Wednesday, April 18 drawing is now $131 million, or $81.4 million if the winner chooses the cash option instead of an annuity paid out over 29 years.

According to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger, 28,365 New Jersey players took home an estimated $166,732 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200 in Saturday’s Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers for April 14 were: 14, 15, 16, 19 and 24. The Red Power Ball number was 02.

New Jersey residents Joseph and Celeste Tamburello were the last Powerball jackpot winners, claiming a $70 million prize with a winning ticket from the March 21 drawing purchased in Little Silver.

The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510, and the odds of claiming any prize are 1 in 31.85.

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
