Graffiti Suspect Arrested

PERTH AMBOY – Police have arrested an 18-year-old Perth Amboy man believed to be responsible for a number of acts of graffiti vandalism, according to authorities.

On Friday, April 6, Perth Amboy police Detective Kenneth Puccio arrested Erick Zapata who was charged with criminal mischief. Police believe Zapata is responsible for graffiti at ZPA Hall, Ukrainian School, the Route 440 Ramp, and others locations.

Judge George Boyd set bail at $1,500, with no 10 percent option.

The charges against Zapata are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
