Library’s “Café Music Series” Continues In April

RAHWAY — The Rahway Public Library will be continuing its Café Music Series in April. Nancy Gable and Steve Hefler will perform on April 14 between 2 and 3 p.m. and Karickter will play on April 28 between 2 and 4 p.m.

Nancy Gable and Steve Hefler will be playing the autoharp and their performance will be followed by a talk about the history of the instrument and will end with a sing-a-long. Karickter the duo of Karen and Rick Pasek will be entertaining us with a wide range of jazz styles with female vocals accompanied by guitar.

Later in the spring, Circle Around the Sun with Jay Wilensky (guitar and vocals), Marie Trontel (vocals), and Chris Bukata (lead guitar) will play an eclectic mix of folk songs with a special emphasis on duets and sensuous harmonies. Roia Raiefeyan will follow with a performance featuring the keyboard as well as the guitar with vocals. This year’s series will end with Mindy Schmitt whose music has an indie folk rock and bluegrass flavor.
