CLARK — A group of fourth grade students at Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark met in the school library before school for the monthly Breakfast Bunch Club meeting. This month’s Breakfast Bunch Club featured the game of chess. Alex D’Amico, a current law student at Fordham University and founder of D’Amico Chess, was the guest speaker. He showed the students how to play the game, improve on strategies, and how chess improves thinking and problem-solving skills. D’Amico was also the former President of the Chess Club at Rider University. The Breakfast Bunch Club is a program designed to enrich students’ educational experience and is run by the Gifted and Talented Facilitator, Cindy Tarello.
