Pulaski Essay Contest Winners Named

UNION — The Union Public Library and the Union Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union are have announced the winners of the Casimir Pulaski Essay Contest for fifth grade students residing in the Township of Union.

Two hundred and two children entered the contest. The winners are:

  • First prize in the amount of $40 was given to Drew Darby of Hamilton School.
  • Second prize in the amount of $30 was given to Stacey Boayke of Hannah Caldwell Elementary School.
  • Third prize in the amount of $30 was given to Ayonna Chambers of Connecticut Farms Elementary School.

The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Main Library, 1980 Morris Avenue, on Wednesday, April 11th at 7 p.m. The award winners will be asked to read their winning essays at the ceremony. All members of the community are invited to attend.

All of the entries submitted will be on display at the Main Library and the Vauxhall Branch, 123 Hilton Ave, Vauxhall, during the months of April and May.
