EDISON — Holocaust survivor Ernest Gross spoke to a group of Middlesex County College faculty, staff and students during “A Holocaust Story of Survival and Renewal,” part of the Festival of Arts and Sciences at the College. He displayed a small loaf of bread and talked about how that would be divided between eight prisoners. Because the pieces on the end were smaller than those in the middle, the prisoners would draw lots to see which piece they would get. Gross spoke with Sharon Bancroft, an adjunct professor who coordinated the program, before his lecture. The Festival of Arts and Sciences is a month-long series of workshops, films, lectures and other programs at Middlesex County College. For a schedule of activities, visit middlesexcc.edu.
