Middlesex County College Softball Team Sweeps Doubleheader

EDISON — Middlesex County College swept a doubleheader from Camden County College on Thursday, April 5.

Pitcher Rebecca Hilliard (Fords) scattered four hits and struck out nine in the first game, as MCC won the contest 15-3. She also went two for three at the plate and scored two runs, including the play shown below.

In the second contest, Amanda McCormick (North Brunswick) shut out Camden 5-0. She let up only four hits and had seven strikeouts. Reigning national Division III Player of the Week Morgan Widener (Monroe) homered in the second game. The Colts are now 11-9.
