PERTH AMBOY–Raritan Bay Medical Center’s (RBMC) Division of Integrative Medicine is holding an open house at its new satellite location in the Raritan Bay Area YMCA, Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., during the YMCA’s Free Healthy Kids Day®.

Integrative medicine providers will offer visitors Reiki, Energy Medicine, Massage, and other treatment samples, nutrition education and healthy recipes. Families can also participate in the group exercise class “Tai Chi in the Jungle” where they will tour ‘the jungle’ exercising with Tai Chi movements based on animals met along the way. Healthy snacks and information about the Division’s services will also be provided.

The YMCA is located at 357 New Brunswick Avenue, Perth Amboy. RBMC and the YMCA began a partnership agreement in 2011 allowing the medical center to be the exclusive provider of health and wellness programs for the longtime community resource. RBMC’s designated leased space at the YMCA is referred to as the Raritan Bay Health & Wellness Center.

The division offers a host of wellness options and programs to the public and for patients at the medical center. Many clinical studies have supported the mind-body-spirit connection, demonstrating benefits associated with integrative medicine such as; pain relief, improved mood and outlook, reduced anxiety, improved sleep and stronger immune system.
