April 2 – Police arrested Elizabeth resident Eddy Ortiz, 40, for allegedly obtaining 120 oxycodone pills with a forged prescription at the Walgreen’s Pharmacy on Convery Boulevard. Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch set bail at $7,500 with no 10 percent option.

April 2 at 6:20 p.m. – At a residence on the 200 block of Gordon Street, police arrested Curtis Fenn, 56, and charged him with possession of a weapon. Fenn told police that he was moving the weapon, a pellet rifle, and other belonging from his girlfriend’s residence, authorities said. He did not possess a New Jersey State Firearms Identification Card, which is required even for pellet guns, authorities said. Fenn was released on his own recognizance by Judge Maria Del Valle-Koch.
