Garden Photography Workshop Planned

FAR HILLS – The Somerset County Park Commission Leonard J. Buck Garden has scheduled a Garden Photography Workshop I on Tuesday, April 17 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The session will take place at Leonard J. Buck Garden, 11 Layton Road in Far Hills.

Presenter of the workshop will be professional photographer Brien Szabo (www.natureimages321.com) of Nature Images 321, Inc.

The class is designed for beginner or intermediate level digital and film photographers. The session will provide technical instruction on alternative approaches to flower and landscape photography, exploring the abstract side of photography from multiple exposure images, using filters, blur techniques and more. The class will include a lecture and shooting session in the garden. The workshop will be at Leonard J. Buck Garden in Far Hills.

Fee is session is $35 per person. Pre-registration is required by calling Leonard J. Buck Garden at 1-908-234-2677, ext. 21 or NJ Relay 711 for individuals with a hearing or speech impairment.

Leonard J. Buck Garden is one of the premier rock gardens in the eastern United States consisting of a series of alpine and woodland garden areas situated in a 29-acre wooded stream valley.

Buck Garden is a naturalistic setting incorporating large rock outcroppings creating varying exposures and microclimates that enable different plant associations to thrive. Tucked among the rocks are rare and exotic rock garden plants. The wooded trails connecting the outcroppings are lined with beautiful wild flowers that have flourished and multiplied through the years. Throughout the garden grow various ferns.
