NEWARK – Iconic Brazilian singer/songwriter Roberto Carlos returns to the U.S. this summer with his “Un Millon de Amigos” Tour and will make his only New York metro market appearance at Prudential Center on Friday, June 8 at 8 p.m.
The Grammy-award winning crooner will perform his admirers’ favorite hits such as: “La Distancia”, “Amada Amante”, “Qué Será de Ti”, “Un millón de Amigos”, “La Paz de tu Sonrisa”, “Desahogo”, “Un Gato en la Oscuridad”, “Amiga”, “Lady Laura”, “Si el Amor Se Va”, “Cóncavo y Convexo”, among others.
Having sold more than 120 million albums, Roberto Carlos is the top-selling Latin music artist in the world. He has recorded more than 90 albums in a musical career spanning more than 50 years. Born in Itapemirim, Brazil, Roberto Carlos emerged in the sixties with a musical style strongly influenced by the Beatles and Elvis Presley. However his beautifully melodic voice eventually brought him to the pop genre, and to composing and performing powerful ballads.
