LINDEN – Acting on information received from law enforcement authorities in Georgia, Linden police located a 2010 Porsche Panamera that had been reported stolen from Detroit, Mich. a year ago.

Detective Frank Leporino conducted a follow-up investigation and after a surveillance of a residence on the 1000 block of North Stiles Street by several detectives, officers stopped the vehicle as it was leaving the house at North Stiles Street and West St. Georges Avenue at 10:39 a.m. on March 22.

The driver, Kijuan E. Stinson, 29, who has addresses in Jersey City and Georgia, was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a motor vehicle with an altered VIN number, police said. He was being held on $50,000 cash bail.

The 2010 Porsche Panamera is valued at between $75,000 and $130,000.

The charges against Stinson are merely accusations; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
