DUNELLEN — It’s one of the most unique events annually in pro wrestling, an “inter-gender” tag-team tournament, where male and female wrestling stars pair up in teams for a one-night single elimination tournament, where the winners are crowned the 2012 King And Queen Of The Ring.

This exciting event will be jointly hosted by popular tri-state pro wrestling promotion National Pro Wrestling Superstars, and their “sister” promotion, one of the biggest and most successful all-ladies promotions in the country, Women Superstars Uncensored, on Saturday night April 14 at 7:35pm at the Dunellen Knights Of Columbus Hall, with proceeds benefiting the Dunellen Knights Of Columbus and their charities.

Past winners of this tournament have included such former ECW & WCW star Julio Dinero, who holds the distinction of winning the crown twice, once with former WWE diva Cherry (a.k.a. Kara Slice), and last year with former WSU World Champion Mercedes Martinez. The duo of TNA/Impact star Jay Lethal & WWE diva A.J. were also recent winners, plus the duo of Ring Of Honor star Rhett Titus & former TNA/Impact star Nikki Roxx.

This year’s field is shaping up to be one of the most exciting. Some of the pairings that have already been announced are NPWS Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Love Machine” Nicky Oceans & WSU newcomer Ezavel Suena, and former NPWS Tag-Team Champion “Jersey Shore Jock” Mike Dennis & Jamilia Craft.

But as big as the tournament is, there will be even more action that night. Former WWE star Gene “It’s Not My Fault” Snitsky will see action in the ring. Plus, there will be two WSU title matches, as newly-crowned WSU World Champion & Spirit Champion Jessica Havok will defend her Spirit Title belt against Marti Belle, and the popular veteran duo of Alicia & Brittney Savage will challenge the newly-crowned WSU Tag-Team Champions Allisyn Kay & Sassy Stephanie.
