Irish Business Association Announces Honorees For 2012 Annual Awards Dinner

CLARK – The Irish Business Association (IBA) of New Jersey has announced the honorees for its 2012 Annual Awards Dinner, to be held June 12.

Gary S. Horan, president and chief executive officer of Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, has been named Man of the Year. Prior to joining Trinitas is 2001, Horan served as president and chief executive officer of Our Lady of Mercy Healthcare System in the Bronx; vice president of Hospitals Operations for New York University Medical Center; and executive vice president of St. Vincent’s Medical Center of New York.

Elisse E. Glennon, executive director of the Sharing Network Foundation, has been named Woman of the Year. NJ Sharing Network is a nonprofit organ and tissue procurement organization and part of the national recovery system. The Sharing Network Foundation supports the work and mission of NJ Sharing Network. Prior to joining the foundation in 2010 Glennon served as vice president/executive director of the Palisades Medical Center Foundation and chief executive officer of United Way of Greater Union County after starting her career in the nonprofit sector at the Children’s Miracle Network at Children’s Specialized Hospital.

Reardon Communications Group of Mountainside was named Business of the Year. Founded in 2005 by Christopher H. Reardon, Reardon Communications Group provides small, medium and large businesses with a variety of communications services, including: web site and sales/marketing content writer; media relations; annual report writing; business plans; and general communications consulting. He also serves as editor of the monthly newspapers Inside Business and Business Edge. Prior to starting Reardon Communications Group Reardon served as manager of corporate communications for NUI Corporation.

“Each year the Irish Business Association recognizes a broad slice of the New Jersey business community with Irish roots,” said Al Nunan, the association’s president. “There are 1.3 million New Jersey residents claiming Irish descent and Irish-Americans are found in every corner of commerce and community. This year’s honorees reflect both the breadth of the Irish in our state and the widening footprint of the Irish Business Association.”
