Clark Students Learn About Similes And Cliches

CLARK — Students in Kaitlyn Meredith’s fourth grade class at the Frank K. Hehnly School in Clark have been studying the concepts of similes and metaphors in language arts class. Pupils were able to pick a simile or a cliche that was discussed in class and create an illustration to show its meaning. The students were able to apply their knowledge to illustrate the meaning of each saying through art. In the photograph above, Vito Cassano and Alex Urbanowicz display their drawings of similes as Sara Radwan displays her drawing of a cliche. (Photo courtesy of Clark Public Schools)
