SUMMIT — The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey announces its studio art classes and workshops for the spring 2012 semester beginning April 9. Register for day, evening and weekend classes. This spring over 130 classes and 60 workshops, including 25 new courses, will be available for kids, teens and adults.
Peter Jacobs, who will have an exhibition at the Art Center this spring, will lead a new Master Workshop—The Art of Collage & the Daily Practice of Art. Other new classes include Oil Painting for the Total Beginner with Stephanie Cohn and Self Portrait Photography with Rachel Yoakum.
Teens may choose among 15 classes such as Portfolio Development for Fashion Design (ages 15-18) with Amanda Yoakum. 58 classes and workshops are also sure to inspire children of all ages, including Drawing from Nature (ages 8 – 11) with Karen Fuchs and Anime/Manga & Comic Drawing (ages 11-14) with Doug Baron.
