PERTH AMBOY – Last month, the Perth Amboy Catholic School Gifted & Talented Art Club presented “Living Art” at a special event.

The students painted all the background art on canvas and portrayed in person many famous masterpieces including The Last Supper and Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci. Other Living Art pieces included American Gothic by Grant Wood, The Scream by Edvard Munch, Ranuccio Farnese by Titian, Women with Calla Lilies by Diego Rivera, Girl Shooting Marbles by Norman Rockwell, Girl With A Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and many others including Modigliani, Botticelli and Gauguin.

Students worked as art guides and gave a brief history of each painting to all visitors. The event was organized by Art teacher, Rose Lavin Pennyfeather.
