EDISON–The Edison Police Department will be undergoing an extensive renovation project to its headquarters starting on March 23 that will take approximately one year. The renovation project will include security and building upgrades to all three floors of the police department including the area around the municipal court and violations bureau.

The renovation project will not affect police and court services. However, anyone coming to police headquarters to speak to a police officer, retrieve a police or accident report or attend court will need to use alternate entrances to the building.

Alternate entrances will be established and will be signed accordingly. Handicapped individuals will be directed to use the main entrance of the Edison Municipal Complex, use the elevator to the second floor, then follow the posted signage.

Parking in and around police headquarters will also be limited due to construction equipment at the site.

For more information, contact Sgt. Robert J. Dudash Jr., Public Information Officer at 1-732-248-6442.
