Thrown Rocks Damage Cars Parked On Linden Streets

LINDEN – At least seven vehicles were damaged early Sunday morning when someone threw large rocks through their windshields, police reported.

The vehicles, which were parked on city streets on the south side of Linden bordering on South Wood Avenue and the Tremley Point section, were damaged between midnight and 8 a.m. on March 4.

In two of the incidents, car owners heard the loud crash of rocks at approximately 12:30 a.m. and saw a light-colored vehicle, possibly a white or silver Nissan, leaving the scene of the damage, police said.

According to police, the damages are estimated to cost a few thousand dollars.
