LAWRENCEVILLE– The annual New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) North-South All-Star Basketball Classic will be held this year on March 18, at Rider University’s Alumni Gym. The event is a boy-girl doubleheader, with the boys game beginning at noon and the girls game starting at 2:30 p.m.
“These games will showcase some of the finest high school basketball players New Jersey has to offer,” says Steve Timko, NJSIAA executive director. “These are wonderful opportunities for these student athletes to demonstrate their talents in an excellent venue, in front of peers, friends, family, and numerous college scouts.”
Among the high schools represented during the boys game will be Morris Knolls, Shabazz, Middletown North, and Bishop Eustace, while athletes representing Pascack Valley, University, Manalapan, and St. Rose will play in the girls game. Students from Teaneck, Gill St. Bernard, and Jackson Memorial high schools will be included on both the boys and girls teams.
Tickets for the event will be $5 and will cover admittance to both games. Alumni Gym seats up to 1,650 spectators.
