EDISON — For the second time in as many years, Mayor Antonia Ricigliano will welcome to Edison Township Linda Dashuta, Chief Clerk in the Middlesex County Passport Office.
On Friday, March 23, from noon to 2 p.m., residents can apply for passports in Council Chambers at the Edison Township Municipal Complex, 100 Municipal Boulevard. Council Chambers are located on the second floor of town hall. For more information and specific requirements call the Passport Hotline at 1-732-745-3404 or visit Edisonnj.org.
“The level of cooperation between Middlesex County and Edison Township demonstrates a real desire to serve our residents and provide convenience and easy access to county services. The ability, on an annual basis, to apply for passports locally is an opportunity for residents to quickly and efficiently obtain this necessary document. This cooperation extends to the successful partnership between the township and the County Surrogate’s Office”, Ricigliano said.
A staff member of the Middlesex County Surrogate’s Court is available in the Mayor’s Conference Room on a weekly basis to probate wills. This service is provided each Tuesday by appointment. In 2011 the Surrogate’s Court processed 133 probates in Edison and has completed more than 2,000 determinations since the satellite office opened.
“The Middlesex County Surrogate’s Court continues to appreciate the cooperation of Mayor Ricigliano and her staff in helping us better serve our clients in the Edison area,” said Surrogate Kevin Hoagland.
