Linden Offers Fitness Classes

LINDEN – Linden recreation will offer a complete fitness exercise program and a class in yoga, tai chi and qigong for city residents, beginning later this month.

The complete fitness exercise program promises a whole body workout using kick boxing, high and low aerobics, cardio and body toning. It runs for 10 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. between March 27 and June 5. There is a $75 fee, and water, towels and an exercise mat are required.

Yoga is the oldest system of personal and healthful development that embraces your mind, body and spirit. Tai Chi is an ancient discipline of non-contact martial arts and Qi Gong is moving meditative practice which fathered Tai.

The class will be held on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9 p.m. from March 29 through June 7. There is a $55 fee and a yoga mat is required.

The class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required. March 26 is the last day to sign up for the complete fitness exercise program; March 28 is the deadline for the yoga class. Both programs are for adults 18 years of age and older and will be held at the Gregorio Recreation Center, 330 Helen Street.
