Kindergartners Get Tooth-Brushing Tips

EDISON — Dr. Joseph Banker of Scotch Plains made his annual visit to the kindergarten class at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School to share dental health tips with the students on Feb. 27 to recognize National Children’s Dental Health Month. Dr. Banker gave a PowerPoint presentation to the youngsters the importance of brushing their teeth. The presentation also addressed correct brushing techniques, healthy and unhealthy foods and the importance of x-rays in maintaining dental health.

Dr. Banker invited Naomi Valcourt of South Plainfield to help demonstrate the correct way to brush teeth. After the presentation, students received a goodie bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, a toothbrush holder and a timer. (Photo by Rudy Brandl of Fanwood / Wardlaw-Hartridge)
