Rahway High School Marine Corps JROTC Takes First Place In Drill Competition

RAHWAY — On Saturday, Feb. 18, members of the Rahway High School Marine Corps JROTC Drill Team performed at the Colts Neck High School Drill Competition.

In the Armed Division (male), besides winning overall, team members took first places in Inspection and in Exhibition, second in Color Guard, and third in Regulation. In the Unarmed Division (female), the team won second place in Regulation, and third in Inspection and in Exhibition. The team’s next competition will be at Reading (Pennsylvania) High School on March 31.

The group’s advisor, MSgt. Gregory Mintz commented, “Right now we are not as good as we can be. We are still peaking. We should be on point for the nationals May 3 through 9 at Daytona Beach, Florida.”
