Prevent Child Abuse-NJ Announces 2nd Annual Pinwheel Contest

NEW BRUNSWICK – Share your best pinwheel pictures before the end of April for a chance to win a coffee and donuts party for your office or organization.

Child Abuse Prevention Month is a statewide campaign to raise awareness about supporting families and preventing child abuse. Each April, New Jersey and the entire nation makes a promise to prevention by distributing pinwheels and hosting educational events throughout the state. A pinwheel is a symbol of a happy, carefree, and healthy childhood – pinwheel gardens, group pictures, collages… the ways in which you can show your support are endless!

To enter, send your best pinwheel picture to Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey between now and April 30. Pictures can be e-mailed to or posted to Facebook at Feel free to send multiple pictures.

At the end of the month, Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey will select one lucky winner from the batch to win a coffee and donuts party for your office or organization, along with a $100 gift certificate for 2013 Child Abuse Prevention Month materials — the winning picture will also be featured across Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey’s websites and newsletters!

Last year’s winning photo showcased young Sophia Giuliano came from the Cape May Healthy Families program. The winning photo was selected by the Prevention Child Abuse-New Jersey contest staff for epitomizing everything about a happy, healthy, and carefree childhood.
