Free Seminar: Planning For The Future For Your Child With Special Needs

MOUNTAINSIDE — Children’s Specialized Hospital will host a free program presented by Douglas A. Vogel, special needs planner and financial services representative at MetLife Center for Special Needs Planning. The event is Monday March 26 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Children’s Specialized Hospital Outpatient Center at the Mountainside location, 150 New Providence Road.

  • At this workshop, parents and caretakers will gain the tools and the knowledge to be able to discuss:
  • How to plan for their child’s future without jeopardizing eligibility for government benefits
  • Legal documents needed for planning and who should prepare them.
  • Funding options and strategies available to plan for lifetime care and quality of life for the child with special needs.

Vogel has been featured in the New York Times, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Forbes, and the Special Need Parent. He is a N.J. Statewide Parent to Parent Volunteer and member of NORD, National Organization for Rare Disorders; Autism New Jersey; CASA, Community Advocacy Services Association, and West Morris Regional High School Special Education Parent Advisory Group. He has received a BA in Political Science from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. He resides in Mendham, New Jersey with his wife and two daughters, both of whom have special needs.
