MONTCLAIR — On Friday, March 2, the Whole Foods Market in Montclair will host its inaugural art auction to support the Whole Planet Foundation. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, with 100% of the proceeds going to the foundation.
Additionally, the night will feature live music from local area musicians and an introduction from representatives of the non-profit micro lending organization, Grameen America.
The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Avenue, Montclair. Admission is free.
The Whole Planet Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization established by Whole Foods Market. The organization provides grants to microfinance institutions in Latin America, Africa, and Asia who in turn develop and offer microenterprise loan programs, training and other financial services to the self-employed poor.
