I know that there are times when I repeat incidences and personal observations. I will always comment and keep track of possible reports in regards to cell phone ignorance when driving. Hopefully I will never be a victim by one of these.
Has anyone ever heard the expression “When the Lord said ‘brains’, someone misunderstood and thought He said ‘trains’ and missed theirs?” That’s really an old one and told to me many years ago, but I think I do remember it correctly. There are many more that may come to mind at some particular point because of a possible news report.
Some time ago, a person gave me a card that I thought to be quite good. It goes as follows, “As you pass this church, do make a visit, so when you are carried in, God won’t have to say, ‘who is it?’” This is no reflection in my mind to anyone who may not go this way. “Please don’t bust my chops,” as I have said many times I will repeat myself in the future, “To each his own.”
How many have taken note of that idiotic television commercial showing a woman viewing her money behind a glass barrier? Can you visualize yourself doing something like this? I would be afraid, because there might be someone behind me with a net. Maybe I’m prejudiced, and would expect a more intelligent message to attract my attention, but then again are some so desperate for the almighty dollar? I just don’t get it, or maybe I’m not in tune with this type of approach.
