MIDDLESEX COUNTY – To promote a love of reading, Assemblyman Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex) participated in National Read Across America Week. Yesterday, Coughlin read to fourth and fifth grade students at Middlesex County’s Center for Lifelong Learning in Parlin. Today, he read to third graders at Carteret’s Columbus School and Kindergartners at the Anthony V. Ceres School in Perth Amboy. He plans to read to students in South Amboy and Woodbridge later this month.

“Reading is the gateway to the imagination; anything and everything can happen on the printed page,” Coughlin said. “It’s my hope that the children I met this past week get to experience a little bit of that magic and continue to pursue it on their own, long after my visit.”
