St. Patrick’s To Close At End Of School Year

ELIZABETH – St. Patrick’s High School, the oldest parochial high school in New Jersey, will close at the end of the school year due to shrinking enrollment and financial pressures.

The school became well-known for its basketball program, which has sent many players to Division I colleges. Several went on to the NBA, including Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Al Harrington of the Denver Nuggets and Samuel Delembert of the Houston Rockets.

The high school’s current enrollment is approximately 150 students.
