Lady Crusaders Hosted Coaches Vs. Cancer Fundraiser

CLARK — On Friday, Feb. 3, the Arthur L. Johnson Lady Crusaders hosted a Coaches vs. Cancer Event at Arthur L. Johnson High School.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.

The event consisted of all the girls’ basketball teams in the Clark School District, with the Carl. H. Kumpf Middle School Crusaders starting of the event at 4 p.m., followed by the Junior Varsity Lady Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. The main event was the 7 p.m. match up between the Varsity Lady Crusaders and the Oak Knoll Royals.

All proceeds from the event, including the gate and raffles, were donated to the American Cancer Society.
