Perth Amboy Police Arrest Juvenile Robbery Suspects

PERTH AMBOY – Perth Amboy police arrested four juvenile suspects on Friday night, after a concerned citizen flagged down officers and alerted them to a robbery in progress.

At approximately 11 p.m. on Feb. 17, Officers Jesus Martinez and Luis Corro were flagged down in the area of Fayette and Stanford streets. The concerned citizen directed Martinez towards an area on the 300 block of Watson Avenue were an altercation was occurring.

After an investigation, four suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center. All were charged with robbery and two were charged with eluding police. Officers recovered a set of brass knuckles and the victim’s wallet.

The victim was taken to Raritan Bay Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.
