Arts Guild New Jersey Announces Plans For 4th Annual Gala Fundraiser

RAHWAY– Arts Guild New Jersey has announced plans for its 4th annual gala fundraiser, themed “Eyes on the Arts.” On Sunday, April 15, from 3-8 p.m., Rahway city officials, community members, business owners, and Arts Guild New Jersey supporters will be brought together at Luciano’s Italian Ristorante and Lounge for a unique evening of dining and entertainment.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Arts Guild New Jersey, a non-profit organization for the arts that presents a yearly program of fine art exhibitions, art classes and workshops, and a variety of cultural events, such as lectures, seminars, and concerts.

The event will kick off at 3 p.m. with a cash bar and chance to mingle with fellow gala attendees. Next, a three-course dinner will include a cold antipasti served family-style at each table, followed by a pasta course, a choice of grilled rib eye steak or chicken breast marsala entrée, and a selection of desserts with coffee or tea. Wine, beer, and soda will be included with dinner.

The ArtStar Award will be granted to an outstanding regional community member worthy of the community’s recognition and gratitude, during the gala. Local artist Marcel Truppa was last year’s esteemed honoree, and this year’s recipient will similarly have made significant contributions to Rahway, whose actions have supported and furthered the arts. Live music will be performed throughout the evening. Guest speakers will also be presented.

Business owners can also show their support for the Arts Guild while promoting their businesses by underwriting sponsorship for the gala, or by purchasing an ad in the Sponsor Book. Books will be distributed at the gala and throughout the year at Arts Guild New Jersey, as well as at prime locations and events around Rahway. Jacki Duboys, president of Arts Guild New Jersey’s Board of Trustees and partner at Wizdom Media graphic design agency, will be providing free ad design services with the purchase of ad space.

Tickets for “Eyes on the Arts” go on sale in March. The cost is $75 per person. Contact Lawrence Cappiello for tickets and more information at 1-732-381-7511 or
