WATCHUNG – Mount Saint Mary Academy senior Karolina Meisenbacher of Basking Ridge scored her 1,000th career point in a home game against Delaware Valley on Feb. 16.

Meisenbacher reached the milestone with a free throw early in the first half. The Mount Lions (18-5) went on to win the game by a score of 48-44. Karolina’s sister, Mary Kate Meisenbacher, hit the winning three-point shot with only twenty seconds on the clock.

The shot had even greater significance because it took place on senior night where Karolina and Mary Kate were honored along with six other graduating Mount players.

Karolina becomes the fourth player in the history of the Mount basketball program to score 1,000 career points. The last Mount player to reach that milestone was Bridget Ryan in 2011.

Mount Saint Mary Academy is a Catholic, independent school that provides a college preparatory education for young women in grades 9 through 12.
