3 Perth Amboy Catholic School Students Place In Poster Contest

PERTH AMBOY — Three students from Perth Amboy Catholic School were finalists in the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) of Middlesex County “Be Smart About Medicine” creative expression contest.

Luis DeJesus, Melisa Ayllon and Jose Perez were honored at the 2nd Annual Coalition Recognition Dinner at Middlesex County College on Jan. 18. De Jesus won second place in the 8th grade category and received a $50 Visa gift card and gift bag. Perez won third place in the 8th grade category and received a $25 Visa gift card and gift bag. Ayllon won third place in the 6th grade category and received a $25 Visa gift card and gift bag.

The event was coordinated by Linda Surks of NCADD of Middlesex County and the artwork was submitted by art teacher Rose Lavin Pennyfeather.
