EDISON — Claude Djan of Scotch Plains and Kunal Patel of Edison, eighth grade students at The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, investigated the identity of unknown minerals and rocks using the National Audubon Society Field Guide in Earth Science class. They commenced their investigation by comparing samples in rock and mineral sets. Students conducted a variety of experiments on their samples including streak test, hardness test and acid reactivity and recorded their results in Microsoft Excel.
